Job Summary:
We are seeking a flexible and resourceful Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders while developing individualized care plans. You will collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment and progress.
Areas of Coverage: Metro Detroit, Down River, Redford, Westland, Livonia, Southfield, Novi, Canton, Warren, Sterling Heights, Pontiac, Waterford etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and educators
- Administer therapy and monitor patient progress
- Educate patients and families on conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated with advancements in speech therapy practices
- Modify therapy plans based on patient progress
- Participate in professional development, research, or workshops
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license and relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Basic computer and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience with specific age groups or disorders
- Willingness to travel or conduct home visits
